Economic
Development
Working
with other groups and organizations, the Town of Beaumont
supports
Economic Development, develops and distributes promotional
material and participates
in regional economic development activities.
The delivery of services is provided through our Administration,
Promotions Committee,
Leduc/Nisku Economic
Development Authority (EDA) and the Beaumont
Business Association (BBA).
Beaumont is a proud member of the Edmonton
Regional Tourism Group (ERTG).
The current Goals of Economic Development
are as follows:
- Coordinate
Promotions Committee Annual Events
- Assist
in development of tourism initiatives through
the ERTG
- Ensure
effective marketing and advertising for the Town
of Beaumont.
- Promote
local and regional businesses.
- Maintain
and distribute the Business Directory brochure.
- Research
and present economic data for management and
Council.
- Participate
in Leduc/Nisku EDA activities.
- Support
the BBA

Communities In Bloom program runs year round and
includes the Annual Clean-up Campaign every year
in April and May. In May each year the Committee
hosts a kick-off community breakfast.
Beaumont
is a current winner of 5 out of 5 blooms in our
community category for 2008!

This
annual country fair is traditionally held in conjunction
with the Farmer's Day Weekend. The event includes
a trade show, petting zoo, Battle of the Bands, old
fashioned carnival, parade, pancake breakfast, teen
dance, dog show, go-cart races, midway, entertainment
under the big top tent in Four Seasons Park, fireworks,
and many other activities.
Saturday
in the Park is sure to be a fun day offering something
for everyone. Most events are free and geared towards
an action packed weekend for the whole family to enjoy!
The Beaumont
& District Agricultural Society is the site
of many concurrent events. Please visit their website
and click on Coming Soon for the schedule and
location of the Fairgrounds -just 2 miles west of
downtown Beaumont.

Day Celebrations
Canada
Day traditionally begins in Beaumont with an early
evening flag waving parade with the Fire trucks and
RCMP members leading the way from Beaumont Regional
Activities Centre down to Four Seasons Park.
Once at the park there is free cake and pop with music
& entertainment under the big top tent. The evening
ends with fireworks over Don Sparrow Lake in the park.

and Edmonton to participate in the 2-day musical event.

Brighten
Up Beaumont Weekend
This
annual Christmas celebration includes a Christmas
lights contest for both residential and commercial
participants. To participate all you need to do
is have your lights on at night during the weekend
of December 18-20, 2009.
Annually,
a celebration with Santa Claus is held to kick-off
Christmas celebrations in Beaumont. Come out for
a ride in a horse drawn wagon, be entertained, meet
Santa, and receive hot chocolate, oranges and candy
canes
Also
a Jingle Bell Jog is held the following mornign
on December 5, 2009. Updates will follow on how
to be involved.
